Kathua, Oct 20: Organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Kathua, the Inter-School Athletic Meet concluded, here today.
The competition was held under the overall supervision of Sudesh Chalotra, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Kathua.
Member of Parliament, Ch Lal Singh was chief guest on the valedictory fuction, who was accompanied by Arum Pathak, Principal GHSS Kathua, Jatinder Singh, Dr JP Singh, Narinder Singh and Yashpal Sharma.
Earlier, In 100 mtrs Under-19 girls, Rekha Rani of GHSS Halti claimed 1st position, Soni Saini of GHSS Marheen bagged second spot and Shivalika Verma of HSS Chandwan claimed 3rd place.
Rekha Rani also bagged first place in 1500 meters race, while Shilpa Devi of HSS Kathua and Pinky Kumari of GHSS Mangloor clinched second and third positions respectively.
In 3000 meters girls, Sushma Devi of HSS Halti bagged 1st place, while Priya of HSS Mangloor and Hajra Banoo of GHSS Billawar bagged second and 3rd place respectively.
Meanwhile, in 100 meters, Under-17 girls, Roshni Bibi of HS Nagri and Jyoti Devi of HSS Halti claimed first two positions respectively, while Kajal Sharma of HS Marheen and Sheetal Bibi of HS Pargoli jointly bagged third place.
Rekha Rani of HSS Halti was adjudged best athlete of the meet.
