Ujwala Scheme: Kishtwar witnesses 13 % increase in consumers

KISHTWAR, May 9: After induction of Ujwala Scheme in District Kishtwar, around 13 percent consumers have increased and the strength of house hold has risen from 39 percent to 52 percent.
Addressing a press conference, District Nodal Officer for Kishtwar from Ministry of Petroleum Nitin Kansal said that list of around 22121 households was provided as beneficiaries under Ujwala Scheme for District Kishtwar, out of which 8410 had submitted their KYC.
He stated that sanction has been accorded to 7250 applicants after verification and around 6566 connections have been issued till April 30 and process is still going on.
Kansal added that house to house verification has been done and on the spot safety tips are being given to these consumers.
Local LPG dealers were also present during the press conference.
