NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court today declined to relieve five Indian Police Service officers who are part of the probe in the coal block allocation scam cases and asked them to complete the investigation by July.
Ravi Kant Sharma, acquitted by the Delhi High Court in the Shivani Bhatnagar murder case, is among the five IPS officers. The apex court bench headed by Justice Madan B Lokur ruled, “We are not relieving any one of them at this juncture. ”We direct them to complete the investigation by the end of July.”
A special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on April 10 granted interim bail to all five fresh accused in the coal scam case involving the Jindal coal block matter. (AGENCIES)
