Deporting Bangladeshis

Sir,
For the last few days it has been reported in  different news papers where different organizations of Jammu are demanding for deportation of Bangladeshis and Rohingyas of Mymmar (Burma) who are staying illegally on the outskirts of Jammu and Samba. It is revealed that post 2012 state conflict in Mymmar, several thousands of Rohingyas immigrants who were forced to leave their country entered India through porous Indo Bangladesh border and few thousands have reached in Jammu by travelling/crossing many states of the country and had settled unlawfully on the outskirts of Jammu city and Samba during the last 3-4 years or so. Apart from them few thousands of Bangladeshis have also settled unlawfully in different localities of the Jammu city. It is also reported in different newspapers that most of these people have managed PRCs, identity cards, ration cards and water and electricity connections for their daily needs and to get the benefit of all the centrally sponsored schemes due to patronage of some high profile personalities as these people are working as domestic servants. Others are beggars and street hawkers who are acquainted with the nook and corners of Jammu which in terms of security is a very big threat to the country in general and Jammu city in particular.
Sensing the seriousness of the issue Union Home Secretary held high -level review of security situation in J&k with major focus on   Rohingyas and Bangladeshi nationals as the number of organizations coming out openly in favour of their deportation from Jammu and Samba. It is pertinent to mention here that the issue is of very serious nature with the Union Home Ministry concurring with the view of intelligence agencies that the Rohingyas could be exploited by the militants and other such elements.
Keeping in view the sensitiveness of the issue, it is hoped that the above matter would be got settled by the Central government with the help of the PDP_BJP coalition government of the state and the growing fear among the people of Jammu region about their security would  subside in near future.
Yours etc……..
