Sir,
The Bharatiya Janata Party’s success in recently held election in five states have far reaching impacts on the country.
After election results, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a victory march and speech for public and party workers were he said that a “New India” is emerging and it stands for development. He also launched an app where people will take pledge to make India better.
The BJP is keen on putting its nominee as the presidential candidate. The arithmetic has changed with the poll results. The massive win will help the National Democratic Alliance in the presidential polls in June this year.
In the presidential elections, both MPs and MLAs vote. With a big win in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls and decent shows in assembly elections in Maharashtra, Haryana, Assam and other states, the NDA is at an advantage. The BJP has gained 325 seats in Uttar Pradesh and 56 seats in Uttarakhand.
This election result will help bjp to improve its strength in the opposition dominant Rajya Sabha, where it lacks majority and will help in the passage of crucial bills like GST bill.
Riding high on the Narendra Modi wave and already having a strong presence in most of the states, the bjp is likely to increase its tally in the Upper House of Parliament. This will help to give economy a new direction.
Yours etc…
