JAMMU, Mar 16: Bari Brahmana police arrested 8 persons with stake money.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bari Brahmana police station arrested 8 gamblers along with Rs 25,700 stake money and playing cards. Police also recovered Rs 4100 from their personal search.
The accused have been identified as Barbir, Vijay, Anil Singh, Govind Kumar, Vikas Sharma, Rajesh, Abdul Chowdhary and Munir Hussain.
A case under Gambling Act has been registered against the gamblers at police station Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bari Brahmana Inspector Mahesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Usman and SSP Samba Anil Mangotra.
