JAMMU: Minister of State for Hajj & Auqaf, PHE and Irrigation & Flood Control, Power Development, Industries & Commerce, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi today said concerted efforts should be made to achieve tangible results on ground to provide better amenities and services to the people.
The Minister said this at a high level meeting of Tehsil Auqaf Committee of Kishtwar.
MLA G M Saroori, MLC Firdous Ahmad Tak, CEO J&K State Wakaf Council Raj Mohammad Malik, Secretary SWC Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Administrator Auqaf Kishtwar Tariq Ahmad Tamkeen and other members of SWC Kishtwar were present in the meeting.
The members gave their suggestions for making the working of the committee result-oriented.
The Minister said the government is focused to work for the developmental of underdeveloped areas of the State and directed concerned to take innovative measure to achieve tangible results on ground.
The Minister sought details regarding working process of the committees and took stock of various ongoing works and arrangement of various shrines and educational institutes in the region.
The Minister also asked concerned to reach out to the people and sensitize them about the programmes implemented by the government so that they can avail maximum benefits of these programs.
The Minister directed the authorities to ensure cleanliness in and around the premises of shrines and educational institutes, to take care of arrangements and treat devotees with care and utmost professionalism during the religious gatherings.
The Minster directed the concerned to ensure effective planning and execution of works for result oriented development and stressed upon officers to properly plan the works and execute them in time bound manner.
