JAMMU, Dec 29: An Army jawan today got injured after Pakistan targetted the forward Indian posts on the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district.
“Pakistan troops this morning shelled around 5 to 6 Indian posts at Khari Karmara in Gulpur Sector of Poonch,” official sources here said.
They said that our troops retaliated effectively, adding that exchange of fire lasted till 1400 hours.
“An Army jawan sustained injury in cross border firing and he has been hospitalised,” they added.
Injured Army jawan has been identified as Naik P S Patil Suryakant. He has been airlifted to Military Hospital.
