For quite some time, we have been observing state employees on daily wages left to fend for themselves. During the last Government too , these employees were adopting different tactics for pressing their genuine demands but no concrete action was taken excepting some patch working temporary solutions.
The worst case is that of PDD daily wagers who manning essential services should not be seen moving from pillar to post for getting them heard to resolve their problems. Why cannot these employees be confirmed with usual permissible pay and other benefits when the department is reeling under staff shortage especially those of linemen, fitters and other categories? In most of the cases decisions taken even by the Cabinet are not implemented . In many cases these unfortunate employees do not get their wages even for months at a stretch.
It is hoped that these employees shall get justice sooner than later.
