UDHAMPUR, Dec 26: Rotary Club Udhampur today sent 5th batch of two children for their required heart surgery.
The children, namely Karan son of Kishun, age 4 years, resident of Salgi, Himachal and Sonali Devi, daughter of Sohan Lal, age 11 years, of Mageni, Udhampur, were sent to Escorts Hospital New Delhi. The patients will be operated at Escort Heart Institute, New Delhi free of cost.
Total patients registered for heart surgery by Rotary Club Udhampur are 35. Rest of the patients will also be operated in future similarly. The heart surgeries of the patients were carried out under the “Gift of Life” project of Rotary International to save the lives of children suffering from heart ailment.
Rtn A C Peter, National Coordinator of “Gift of Life” program of Rotary International, gave special priority to the poor patient of J & K State.
