JAMMU Nov 24: Zeashata Devi Prabandhak Committee Zeathyar, Temples and Shrines Management Board Kashmir and Save Temples of Kashmir Movement have urged the Government to provide adequate security to the temples and shrines of Kashmir along with those of Minority clusters, so that a sense of security and protection is felt in the minds of Kashmiri Pandit Community.
In a joint press conference by the heads of Organisation at Press Club here today representatives of these organisations Bharat Bushan Bhat, Bushan Lal Bhan and Ravinder Jogi, said that we have not appreciated the recent decision of the Government to call back all the security from those places and called for the stringent action against those undesirable elements which are hell bent to cleanse the Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley.
They also requested the managing committees of other temples and shrines to nominate their representatives to the Temples and Shrine Management Board, so that it will interact with the Government for its recognition to perform its legitimate duties. They said that till the bill on management of temples and Shrines is passed in the State Legislature, all the Managing Committees should join hands for the proper management of Hindi Shrines and Temples in the Valley.
It was announced that to showcase the rich religious cultural heritage of our community, a photo Exhibition on the Temples of Kashmir will be organized at Kala Kendra Jammu on November 26 and 27 which will be inaugurated at 11am on November, 26 by Speaker State Assembly Kavidner Gupta.
On November 27, the photo exhibition will culminate at 2 PM after which an intellectual meet of the community will be held from 3 PM onwards. All the Kashmiri Pandit biradari are requested to visit the photo exhibition and be a part of the efforts to safeguard our rich cultural heredity.
