CUJ committee to look into incident of alleged disrespect to national symbols

JAMMU Nov 24: Following controversy over alleged disrespect to the national symbols during an event in Central University Jammu, the Vice-Chancellor Prof Ashok Aima has ordered formation of a committee to look into the matter and submit him a detailed report within a week’s time.
This was announced by the VC when a delegation of ABVP activists met him to register their protest against the said incident, which took place on the campus on last Tuesday.
The ABVP activists demanded suspension of the students and the faculty members involved in the incident and also threatened to launch an agitation over the issue.
The Vice Chancellor strongly condemned the act of alleged disgrace to national symbols and said that Central University Jammu is the dais of nationalism and firmly stands for it.
The ABVP also submitted a memorandum of demands regarding academic needs and other issues concerning the institution as a whole. The VC directed the concerned officials to fulfill the genuine demands.
