JAMMU, Nov 22: Jammu Development Authority (JDA) demolished illegal structures raised on its land in village Majeen.
The anti encroachment drive was carried out under the directions of Vice Chairman JDA and with the active assistance of police deployed by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu.
Additional SP Jammu Arun Gupta, SDPO Nagrota Amit Sharma, SHO Nagrota Inspector Karan Chalotra and Incharge Sidhra police post remained all along during the anti encroachment drive.
JDA has taken up the work of fencing of its land as per the directions of Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh issued in a meeting recently.
The enforcement wing of JDA had earlier fenced about 100 kanals of land in the same village of Majeen and in today’s drive another 105 kanals of land was fenced, besides dismantling the illegal structures raised illegally on the JDA land at Majeen and Khanpur.
The anti encroachment drive was carried out today under the supervision of Rishpal Singh, Director Land Management JDA. The entire enforcement wing of JDA was deployed in the drive.
