JAMMU, Nov 20: Maintai-ning that preservation of culture and language is very important for long term survival and sustenance of over 5,000 year old Kashmiri Pandit community, the Vice Chancellor of newly established Vishwakarma University of Skill Development, Gurugram Haryana, Raj Kumar Nehru today today said that Pandits belong to a rich cultural heritage which they have preserved despite facing many odds for hundreds of years tighter.
Addressing a Bhajan Sandhiya programme jointly organized by Vomedh Theatre Group and Ashram Swami Nand Bab Sahib Laledabagh Jammu to pay tributes to Swami Chaman Lal Bamzai the disciple of mystic saint Swami Nand Bab on his first Nirvan Divas at Abhinav Theatre here today, Raj Nehru asked the community embers to empower their children that can determine what they have to do in their future.
Bhajan Sandhya today by Renowned Singers of State, Sh Ravi Bhan, Mrs. Naina Saproo Trisal, Pallavi Koul, Anikait Hashia, Pooja Pandita sung Bhajans on the occasion as a devotional musical tribute to Swami Chaman Lal Ji Bamzai disciple of Swami Nand Bab Ji on his First Nirwan Anniversary at Abhinav Theatre Jammu this afternoon.
Raj Nehru VC Skill Development University Haryana was the chief guest on the occasion. In his address he appreciated the role of Vomedh theatre group in terms of preservation of theater and culture. He appreciated Rohit Bhat for his dedication and devotion towards the field of art, Vijay Bakaya and Swami Kumar Ji were Guest of Honour. Vijay Bakaya Ji also appreciated the Vomedh team for exemplary work for promotion of art and culture in the State, Swami Kumar Ji blessed Rohit Bhat and Vomedh team for their wonderful contribution in the State in the field of art, earlier Programme started with traditional Lamp lighting by distinguished guests and Chief guest, the audiences were enthralled by the melodious bhajans sung by the Renowned singers Ravi Bhan and Mrs. Naina Saproo Trisal welcome address was presented by Rohit Bhat, he welcomed the galaxy of audiences from all walks of life, he applauded the role of Saint Swami Chaman Lal Ji Bamzai in the field of spirituality, he also applauded the role of Ashram Swami Nand Bab ji Laledabagh presently under the Patronage of Smt Nirmala Bamzai for keeping the flag of Sanatan high through the implementations of Swami Ji’s teachings. A documentary Film on the role Swami Chaman Lal Ji Bamzai was also released on the occasion. A brief description of Swami Chaman Lal Ji Bamzai was read by Sh Vijay Wali a renowned Poet/ writer and The programme was anchored by Kusum Dhar, while as vote of thanks was presented by Dr Susheel Watal.
