Gur price remains steady on little doings

NEW DELHI, Nov 19:  Quiet conditions prevailed at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today as prices were continually asking on previous levels on scattered buying and restricted supplies.
A similar trend witnessed in Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets.
Marketmen said little business trading due to cash crunch mainly kept gur prices unaltered.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,100-3,200, pedi Rs 3,200-3,300, dhayya Rs 3,400-3,500 and shakkar Rs 3,600-3,700.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,500-2,600, chakku Rs 2,700-2,900, khurpa Rs 2,600-2,650 and Ladoo Rs 2,900-3,000.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,800-2,850 and dhayya Rs 2,900-2,950. (PTI)
