JAMMU, Nov 15: BJP MP Jugal Kishore Sharma along with MLA Akhnoor Rajeev Sharma, distributed gas connections to BPL families under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna Scheme at Akhnoor.
Jugal Kishore while addressing public gathering on the occasion, said that Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana is the Centrally Sponsored Scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to benefit women of the country. “This scheme will surely benefit to the whole society and will particularly help in upliftment of the women and their empowerment,” he added.
The MP claimed that countrymen were appreciating the decision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for carrying out surgical strike to ban the high value currency notes in the country. “This wiil definitely help to stop the rotation of black money and corruption in India and will nourish the economic backbone of the country,” he predicted.
MLA Rajeev Sharma thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching such schemes and the Member of Parliament for taking keen interest to develop his Assembly constituency.
Some women activists, present on the occasion, also spoke and said that the day has come when a Prime Minister is worried to uplift the women of his country and take them out from ashes and smoke.
District president of BJP, Manmohan Singh, owner of Anil Manhas Gas Agency and senior BJP leaders Bharat Bhushan Gupta, Jagdish Bhagat, Pawan Gupta, Kuldeep, Romesh Khajuria, Tara Mehta and others were present on the occasion.
