KATHUA, Nov 9: With removal of encroachments from 47 kanals of forest land today the Forest Department has so far vacated encroachments from 220 kanals of land belonging to the Department in village Nagrota in Basholi tehsil of Kathua district.
According to a spokesman of the Department, the encroachment was removed in different phases and 33 encroachers of the area had grabbed the Forest land for over last 25 years.
The spokesman said earlier the Department had made the demarcation of the land which followed by eviction process.
