SRINAGAR: Fire damaged HDFC Bank in the central Kashmir district of Ganderbal this afternoon, official sources said.
They said a fire broke out in the HDFC Bank branch on the first flood of building at Ganderbal. However, fire tenders were rushed from several parts to the spot to control the leaping flames, clearly visible from a distance.
They said some damage was caused to the bank. However, shops and other business establishments on the ground floor were saved. The cause of fire was not known, sources said. (AGENCIES)
