JAMMU, Nov 5: The masters, who were promoted in 2014, held one day protest outside the Director School Education Office here.
The protest was held under the leadership of Balwant Singh Mankotia, State President JKNPP, which was joined by the promoted masters from Poonch, Rajouri, Udhampur, Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts of Jammu Province.
Speaking on the occasion, Mankotia said that 1193 teachers were promoted as masters in February 2014 out of which 165 were adjusted as masters in March 2014 and were given posting of master in different schools of Jammu province by violating the norms.
He added that left out teachers had been running from pillar to post since last two and half years for their adjustment to next higher grade but nobody paid heed over their demand seriously.
Makotia stated that the Education Department had told them that FIR had been registered on the list of promoted masters and which was pending with Vigilance Organization along with the documents.
Moreover, the previous Directors had assured these promoted masters from time to time that the matter would be taken soon after the proper vigilance clearance. But after the lapse of more than two and half year, all the promoted masters had not been adjusted, he added.
Mankotia questioned the Education Department if the FIR had been reregistered on the whole list than how 165 teachers were adjusted as higher grade without vigilance clearance.
He demanded immediate adjustment of all the teachers promoted as master in Jammu province.
Mankotia said that Panthers Party will hold massive protest on November 8 against Director School Education for not adjusting the promoted masters of 2014.
