KISHTWAR, Nov 4: Two residential houses were gutted, while three other houses were partially damaged in fire in Hidyal area, falling under the jurisdiction of Kishtwar police station.
As per police sources, fire broke out in a house at densely populated Hidyal area, which later engulfed the adjoining houses also.
On getting information, police team along with fire tenders and fire fighters reached the spot and started operation to douse the flames.
After hectic efforts, the fire was brought under control, but till then the two houses got completely gutted, while three other houses got partially damaged.
Two houses belonging to Jagdish Kumar and late Pir Singh were totally gutted in fire, while the houses of Pralad Bhagat, Ghansham Singh Shan and Satish Kumar were partially damaged.
No injury or casualty has been reported in the incident, while the exact loss could not be ascertained yet.
Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
