JAMMU, Nov 4: In compliance to the directions of Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir, Principal Sessions Judge Kathua Vinod Chatterji Koul has constituted Core Groups for the assistance of victims of firing and shelling from across the border.
The Core Groups will ensure immediate help of Government and Non-Government Agencies to the victims, supervise the distribution of relief material to victims, construction of temporary shelters, re-union of the families, health and care of the victims and prevention of spreading of epidemic amongst inhabitants of these areas.
Moreover, the Core Groups will ensure availability of food, medicines and drinking water to victims and supervise the construction of damaged dwelling houses.
A temporary Legal Core and Support Center has also been established at Londi for providing assistance and help to the needy victims. In this center, Retainer Lawyers and PLVs will provide required assistance to the victims.
