JAMMU, Nov 4: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital (SMVDNSH) at Kakriyal, Katra is going to conduct free screening and consultation for neurology disorders tomorrow.
The screening and consultation for neurology disorder will be conducted by Dr Thimappa Hegde, Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon and Director, Narayana Institute of Neurosciences at Narayana Health Group’s Flagship unit in Bengaluru, NH Health City.
People ailing with brain, nerve and spine related disorders may avail the benefits of specialist consultation in the area of Neurosciences.
Over the last six months, the Department of Neuroscience at SMDNSH managed by Dr Pooja Gupta, Dr Ankush Sharma and Dr Mahender Pal has treated many serious cases of acute stroke (paralysis), Transverse Myelitis (inflammation of the spine cord damaging the nerve fibres), Encephalitis (inflammation of the brain), seizures, head injury, spine surgeries, brain tumors as well as trauma, stroke, hydrocephalus (abnormal accumulation of fluid in the brain) and aneurysms.
