JAMMU, Nov 4: 1st Additional Sessions Judge Jammu M A Chowdhary today rejected the bail application of one Ranjit Singh, who was facing trial in a murder case.
After hearing Advocate DS Saini for the petitioner whereas APP Ajay Singh Manhas appearing for the State, the court observed, “grant of bail to the accused will provide him an opportunity of tampering with evidence”.
“The petitioner/accused has sole plea of turning hostile of the eye witnesses and no other ground has been urged. It will not be in the interest of justice to allow this application for grant of bail to the petitioner/accused, who has been charged of murder”, the court said while rejecting the bail application.
