JAMMU, Nov 3: Member Parliament (MP), Rajya Sabha, Shamsher Singh Manhas inaugurated motorable road from Tiny Tots Higher Secondary School to Dhok Mohallah in Ward Number 60, Paloura.
The road connects main Paloura with Mohallah Dhok via banks of heritage pond namely Tamyani Talab and constructed on the left bank of the pond. It was a long pending demand of the inhabitants of this area which was finally fulfilled.
Manhas reiterated that he is committed for overall development of State. He said that many development works have been started from MPLAD fund for last two years and utilized full funds. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started many welfare schemes for people of India.
He asked people of State to join hands for development and social upliftment of society and without people’s supports, he alone cannot fulfill the aspirations of people of Jammu province.
The inhabitants of this area requested for construction of the road on the right side of the pond. In this context, the concerned authorities were directed by the MP to initiate the necessary steps for upgradation of basic amenities of the area including the banks of the Talab for its beautification, so that the same can be converted or preserved as a ‘Swacch Mission’ for the area.
A team of Jammu Municipal Corporation headed by Joint Commissioner RS Jamwal alongwith XEn Prabod Sharma, AEE JP Saraf and AE were also present.
BJP members of the area Colonel Uttam Singh, Bikram Singh, Raj Singh, Subedar Udam Singh, Balwant Singh, Sushma Manhas, Joginder Singh and Bishan Sharma were also present on the occasion.
