AMEAK reorganises setup, vows to intensify agitation

Jammu, Oct 31: The symbolic chain hunger strike of All Migrant Employees Association of Kashmir (AMEAK) today entered 5th day even as the dharna continued for the consecutive 106th day with employees reorganising the setup to provide a boost to the ongoing agitation and vowed to intensify it by organising more aggressive protests demonstration in future.
The volunteers of All Migrant Employees Association of Kashmir (AMEAK) who are on a sit in dharna at Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner’s office for the past 106 days are seeking guaranteed safety and security for minority employees in Kashmir valley and release of their salaries.
“The AMEAK volunteers reorganised the setup of the association to rejuvenate the agitation and prepare a protest calendar in view of the indifferent attitude of the Government which is trying to force their return without guaranteeing them safety of life and property.
AMEAK supported by All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) had renewed its protests by organising a massive candlelight march in Muthi on Friday while the leadership was contemplating issuing protest calender to organise the agitation and spread the word about their miseries far and wide.
Vinod Pandit, Chairman APMCC told the volunteers that the community leadership has warned the Government for forcing employees to join under present circumstances and demanded immediate release of their pending salaries in view of the festive season.
Today’s symbolic hunger strike and candle light march was attended by many community leaders including Vinod Pandit, Chairman APMCC, King C Bharati senior journalist and National Spokesperson APMCC, Rubon Saproo, President AMEAK, Sanjeev Kul President Non-PM Package Employees Association, Satish Ji representing Kupwara, Rakesh Pandita, Kamal Pandita, Ajay Bhat, Rajinderji etc.
