JAMMU, Oct 7: A delegation of Joint Front Jagti township called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Y P Suman at his office today and reiterated the demands which were submitted to him previously also.
The delegation demanded release of ration money of previous three months with supply of qualitative ration to the migrants as most of the people are suffering due to supply of sub standard ration.
It also demanded renovation of buildings, lanes roads and parks, commissioning of severage treatment plant at Jagti and installation of street lights from Kheer Bhawani to National Highway.
The Deputy Commissioner Relief, Executive Engineer and other officers of the organization were also present in the meeting.
The delegation was led by Roshan Lal Raina and its other members were Ajay Baht, Ravi Zutshi, Ravinder Raina, Chand Ji, Bansi Lal Koul, Annu Ji Koul, A K Sadhu, Kundan Ji, Kaka Ji Bhan etc.
Meanwhile the representatives of the organization also sought the immediate intervention of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti regarding the settlement of the problems of the displaced people putting up in camps and non camp localities at Jammu. It said the developmental works in camps and other areas came to standstill after the Valley unrest and it has added to the problems of the migrants.
