JAMMU, Oct 6: As a part of its continuous drive against the drug menace, Government Railway Police (GRP) Jammu arrested two persons and recovered 7 kilograms cannabis (ganja).
According to SSP GRP Rajinder Gupta, during routine checking at Railway Station Jammu, a team from police station GRP Jammu intercepted two persons including a lady.
During checking, police recovered 7 kilograms cannabis (ganja) from their possession and arrested them on the spot, he added.
The accused have been identified as Sunita Devi, wife of Shiv Kumar and Munish Kumar alias Mani Lal, son of Shakal Dev Rai, both residents of Patna, Bihar, SSP said, adding that the accused is also involved in two others Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) cases.
A case under FIR Number 19/16 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered against the accused at police station GRP Jammu and investigation started.
