JAMMU, Sept 24: A meeting of All Kashmiri Muslim Migrants Committee (AKMMC) Jammu was held with Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner Jammu, Mr Suman where various problems were discussed with him.
The Muslim migrants were led by president of the Committee Nazir Ahmed Lone. Its other members included Fida Hussain, Mohammed Amin, Ch. Akbar, Sirjeet Rashid, Showkat Ahmed Ganai etc.
The delegation also submitted a memorandum to Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner demanding issuance of the PRC’s in favour of kids or dependent souls.
The other demands included issuance of migrant certificates required in favour of children of Muslim migrants, inclusion of names in ration cards from the age of 4 to 10 years, intensification of the process of pending bifurcation, processing of those files which have been suspended on the basis of fake complaints and processing of pending files submitted to Screening Committee.
The Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner assured the delegation that all possible efforts will be made to solve the day to day problems being faced by the migrants.
