KARGIL, Sept 5: Director General of Border Roads Organization (BRO) Lt Gen Suresh Sharma today concluded his 3-day visit to Kargil sector.
During his visit, the DG inspected Srinagar-Kargil-Leh National Highway and also roads in Batalik and Drass sectors. He also met all the formation Commanders of the sector and the district officials and had detailed discussion on prioritization and speeding up of works.
Lt Gen Sharma also extensively toured Padam-Zanskar areas and announced that alternate connectivity on Darcha-Padam-Kargil and Darcha-Padam-Nimmu is being given due importance. He said that additional resources will be deployed by BRO.
The DG BRO was accompanied by Chief Engineer, Project Vijayak, AK Dikshit.
