JAMMU, Sept 2: NPSU today held a protest demonstration against the State Government for failing to protect the Dogra heritage and history.
The activists of NPSU assembled at Jammu University main gate and held protest demonstration amidst raising of slogans.  They also torched an effigy of DyCM.
The protest was led by Thakur Virender Singh, State President NPSU, who lambasted the alleged silence of DyCM over the issue of sinking of Dogra heritage sight (Mubarak Mandi).
The Mubarak Mandi complex is not only a historical monument of archeological value to attract the curious tourists, but it denotes the very pride of Dogras,” he said and lamented that remnants of the great monument are in shambles and reduced to debris.
Mr Singh said that BJP had contested election on Jammu centric issues like saving of Dogra heritage and history, Dogra certificate etc but the party surrendered in front of Kashmir leadership just for lust of power.
