GNA University holds Inter School Contest

JAMMU, Aug 30: GNA University organized third Inter School Contest “Prativad” at Kala Kendra, here today.
In the contest, 600 students from 50 schools of Jammu and Akhnoor participated. The contest provided a unique and exciting platform for students to showcase their talent.
The event was on invitational basis in which quiz, young chef and collage making, science model competitions were conducted.
It was inaugurated by all the respected teachers who had accompanied the students from their respective schools.
The event witnessed a tough fight amongst the participating students who came all across from Jammu and Akhnoor.
The participants were very thankful to Gurdeep Singh Seehra, Pro Chancellor GNA University for providing an opportunity to win exciting prizes.
Jyoti Bhatti, Principal Food Craft Institute Jammu was the chief guest on the function.
All the participants were given certificate of participation.
The winners were Jammu Public School in collage making competition, Heritage School in young chef competition and SRML Higher Secondary School in Quiz competition. The Overall winners were Heritage School (1st prize) and Jammu Public School (2nd prize) and BSF Senior Secondary School (3rd Prize).
Young chef competition was judged by Chef Anup Kumar from Yellow Chilly. Science Model competition was judged by Dr Sanjiv Bharate, Scientist in Indian Institute of Integrated Medicine.
The overall winners were awarded with trophy and cash prize of Rs 11,000. First runners up and second runners up were given cash prize of Rs 5,100 and 3,100 respectively along with the trophy.
Sunil Sarad, Registrar GNA University, Event Coordinator Sameer Varma, Chef Varinder Rana and Event Co-coordinator Rishabh Sharma were also present on the occasion.
