JAMMU, Aug 29: Samooh Theatre staged a Dogri play “Kaliveer” written by Dr Gian Singh and directed by Ravinder Sharma, at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu.
The play was based on the life and teachings of Kuldevta Shri Kaliveer ji. In his previous birth that is in the Treta Yug, he was born as Ram’s younger brother “Lak-shman” and in the Duvapar Yug, he was incarnated as “Krishna’s” elder brother “Balram”. And recently in Kalyug, he again took a rebirth as “Kalik”.
He had horse as his vehicle and that too in three famous colours of white, blue and black. This unique combination of the three horses’ qualities is inherent in Kaliveer and this has made him get the majestic powers to make impossible things possible.
When he was a king, he had a mare named Nili. This color signifies authority and leadership qualities of the king. He has been seen traveling on Black horse in the time of war, wearing black clothes, shoes and weapons indicating evil qualities.
In his happiness, he offered grace in abundance and became a symbol of blessings on the concourse of his devotees.
The artists who performed in the play were Samdhish, Hempreet Kour, Arayna Singh, Akshit Sethi, Sandeep Manhas, Chetan Charak, Aditya Pandita, Neeraj Sethi, Devanshu Raina, Vishal Singh, Sugandha Kheera, Amika Bali and Barkha  Thakur.
