One killed, six injured in separate road mishaps

JAMMU, Aug 29: A man was killed while six others were injured today in separate road mishaps in outskirts of this winter capital of the State.
According to a police spokesman, a motorcyclist identified as Ram Lal alias Pappu (42) son of Sardari Lal, a resident of Kothay Bumnal (Bishnah) this morning died on the spot when he suffered a fatal head injury after his bike got slipped at Nandpur. After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
At Miran Sahib, a car hit a bike and injured its rider namely Neeraj Sharma (30) son of Brita Ram, resident of Miran Sahib. Similarly, one Harbans (52) son of Kapoor Singh and Usha Devi (50) wife of Daleep Singh, both residents of Doda were injured when the car in which they were travelling, rolled down the road at Domail area falling within the limits of police station Jhaajjar Kotli.
In another incident at Domail, a car bearing registration number JK21C-0055 being driven by one Sunny Verma son of Arjun Kumar, resident of Vijaypur, collided with a bike in which motorcyclist Saif Ali son of Alam Din, resident of Badsoo (Dansal) got injured.
A scooter hit and injured two women pedestrians at Bathindi. The injured women have been identified as Savita (24) wife of Bishan and Anita (25) wife of Ramesh, both residents of Channi Rama.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. In all cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
