JAMMU, Aug 23: The casual and need based workers of Power Development Depart-ment (PDD) serving in different divisions of EM&RE Wing in Jammu continued their ‘Kaam Choro Hartal’ on the second consecutive day.
The employees assembled in front of Chief Engineer Office, Bhagwati Nagar are protesting under the leadership of Akhil Sharma, State President, All Jammu Province/Need Based Workers Union, PDD, Shesh Kumar, President, Jammu Province and Sham Sharma, Vice President.
The protestors are demanding release of wages and regularization of the employee, who had completed seven years of services.
The protestors said that they will continue their strike till their demands are not redressed.
