JAMMU, Sept 27: Jammu and Kashmir Bank opened a Business Unit at Zachaldara in Handwara, which was inaugurated by District Development Commissioner, Kupwara, Sarmad Hafeez, in the presence of Zonal Head, North, MS Kaboo, at a simple function attended by a good gathering of local residents.
DDC, Kupwara congratulated the Bank for opening the branches in unbanked areas and appreciated the Bank for playing a major role in economic development of the State.
Earlier, in his welcome address, Zonal Head of the Bank, highlighted various programmes of Bank for socio-economic development of the people of the State.
He urged the people to avail the benefits of different schemes designed by the Bank for their economic development.
On the occasion, DDC also gave sanction letters to the parties issued by the Business unit. Cluster Head, Kupwara, Fayaz Ahmad Sidiqee, presented vote of thanks.
