UDHAMPUR, Aug 16: A young man committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Basantgarh, Udhampur.
The deceased was identified as Raj Kumar (30) son of Mansa Ram of Basantgarh. He consumed some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances in his home late last night. Family members took him to Primary Health Center (PHC) Basantgarh where he died despite hectic efforts by the doctors for treatment.
After postmortem, dead body of the deceased was hand over to the family members. Cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
