Political gimmickery

Sir,
One felt strange to see the State Congress leaders sitting at Press Club Jammu sometime back to protest against the  Mehbooba Mufti led coalition Government. This place is usually used by the aggrieved parties like OBCs, VRs employees etc to highlight their demands and seek the attention of the Government.
In the garb of shedding crocodiles tears over the unrest in Kashmir, the old party is trying to achieve vested political interest. This can be gauged from the contradictory statements made by its leaders in Kashmir and Jammu divisions.
The assertion of Congress leaders that they are committed to safeguard the interests of Jammu division has no takers. This is quite misleading. They did not show same enthusiasm when they were in power. They remained inaccessible, and callous towards the problems of people in Jammu.
Sometimes interference of such political parties into the policies  of the security forces also puzzle the people who fail to understand which side they are standing. Not to do any thing,  is one thing but what should be done as an alternative is never suggested. Criticism is the right of any citizen but to be a critic for nothing can not be termed as  the plausible policy. It smacks of arrogance.
Both NC and Congress must rethink and reframe their party policies. The only solution is to reach to the people for any kind of solution. Both the parties must make efforts to end Kashmir un-rest to work in tune with the Government’s efforts to  overcome the prevailing situation without finding faults everytime.
Yours etc…
