KATHUA, Aug 7: Anti drug team of Kathua Police headed by SI Sanjeevani together with the police party of Police Station Lakhanpur held two persons carrying stolen material in a bus bearing registration No JK02BC- 1078.
Both the accused were identified as Kulbir Singh S/o Amarjeet Singh R/o Bank Colony tehsil Batala district Gurdaspur, driver of the bus and his associate Harvinder Singh S/o S Tarlok Singh R/o New Azad Nagar Amritsar.
Police recovered 3.250 Kilograms of Trillium Govanianum popularly known as ‘Nag Chhatri’, 910 gms of Kesar (Saffron) and approximate 80 Kilograms of walnuts in two bags.
On this, Police registered case FIR no 71/2016 u/s 6/15/16 Forest Act, 379 RPC against the accused in Police Station Lakhanpur. Both the accused were arrested.
