JAMMU, Aug 7: Police arrested two persons along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, a team from Jhajjar Kotli police station laid a naka at Manwal and apprehended a person along with 50 pouches of illicit liquor.
The accused has been identified as Satwant Singh, son of Brij Dev Singh of Jindrah.
Meanwhile, police team from Manwal police post laid a naka and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AQ-8449.
During checking, police recovered 68 illicit liquor pouches and arrested the rider, who has been identified as Ranjit Kumar, son of Niranjan Singh of Kha Pota.
Cases under FIR Numbers 94/16 and 95/16 under Section 48-A Excise Act have been registered against the accused at Jhajjar Kotli police station and investigation started.
