Tripple-A stages Dogri play ‘Malaee Da Duna’

JAMMU, July 30: “Malaee Da Duna” dogri folk play was staged by the artists of   ‘Triple-A Performing Arts’, Reasi, which was highly liked by the audience present on the occasion. The play was written by  Jagdeep Dubey and directed by Anam  Khan.
The play “Malaee da duna” revolves around one old man a main characters of the play and focuses on the corruption system present in the society. Whenever an investigating agency is constituted, it becomes the part of the system. The whole play revolves round a character of old man who depicts the common masses getting exploited in the hands of the system. The old man, who is fond of eating “Malaee”, keeps a servant to bring it from the sweet shop of his friend. But, the servant used to eat some part of it on the way. Then, the old man kept some more servants one after the other to investigate the matter, but all of them joined the first one and in the end of the play, the master gets nothing except the empty bowl. Every character is equally connected to each other.
The artists who performed in the play were Ved  Madhotra as  Halwai, Vipan Upadhyay as Budda,  Ashutosh Prasher as Rangu, Abhinav Goswami as Khangu, Raj Kumar  as Dhangu, Neeraj Kalsotra as Nangu. The music was given by Sahil Gill, Make-up by M A Khan, Costumes by Raja Aamir and Set designed by Rakesh Kumar. The performance was financially supported by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and highly appreciated by audience.
K K Sharma (Rtd.) CEO was the chief guest while Rattan Lal Sharma Government contractor presided over the today’s function. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest lauded the work of the artists. Anam Khan director of the play thanked the chief guest and guest of honour. for sparing their valuable time to witness the play. She also thanked Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and languages for financial support. Others present on the occasion included Brham Saroop, Sohan lal, Rekha Devi, Shadab Khan, Rakesh Kumar, Ajaz Khan, Subash Sharma etc.
