Sir,
I want to bring in notice of the concerned authorities the issue of prescribed books at primary and upper primary level classes in Government schools. If someone carefully studies the books of these very classes he will find that except some subjects, many books have not been designed as per the needs of growing and learning children and not fit for teaching the students. When we compare these books with other books prescribed by CBSE, Army Schools, BSF Schools, Navodoya Vidhayalas etc. we find that these boards have maintained and designed good set of standard books which are very easy to learn and teach. Every year same set of books are distributed to students and no updation takes place. There should be a committee of intellectuals on this issue who will look into the matter carefully and give its recommendations to Education Department for further improvement.
