RAJOURI, July 21: People from Dhani Dhar area near Rajouri today held protest against PHE authorities for water scarcity and blocked Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University road for about an hour.
Reports said the people from Kappa Kha village and adjoining hamlets of Dhani Dhar came out on the road and started protest demonstration. Most of them were women and they were raising slogans against the PHE authorities for their failure to provide adequate supply of water.
They disrupted the movement of traffic on Rajouri-BGSB University road for about an hour. They said the public of the area was facing this problems for the last several weeks. DySP Headquarters Rajouri Hamid Choudhary reached the spot and he pacified the agitating public. On his assurance the public lifted dharna.
