Srinagar, July 2: Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Abdul Haq Khan, replying to a clubbed question of Javaid Mirchal, Sajad Ahmad Kichloo, Sham Lal Bhagat and Dr. Shahnaz Ganai today informed that necessary manpower has been sanctioned for newly created administrative units in the State. These units have been made functional on internal arrangements in existing Government or hired private buildings.
The Minister informed that the recruitment of staff in under process and creation of the permanent infrastructure is also pursued for release of funds. He said that the manpower for administrative units created vide Government Order No. Rev (S) 242 of 2014 dated 21-10-2014, has not been sanctioned and are yet to be made operational.
Abdul Haq said no land has so far been earmarked for any newly created administrative unit. He said that the Deputy Commissioners of respective districts have already been advised to identify suitable State land for creation of permanent infrastructure subject to availability of sufficient financial resources from the Finance, Planning Development and Monitoring Departments.
The Minister said that in case of non availability of the State land, proprietary land will be acquired on payment from land owners which is also subject to the availability of sufficient financial resources.
Abdul Haq said the administrative units created on the recommendations of the Expert Committee are yet to be operationalized. The manpower for these newly created administrative units is yet to be sanctioned and the matter is under examination in consultation with Finance and Planning, Development and Monitoring Departments, he added.
