BJP leader hands over rifle to militants: Jora

SRINAGAR, June 30: Opposition Congress today created ruckus in the Legislative Assembly saying that the BJP leader in Budgam has handed over the service rifle of his PSO to militants.
Opposition Congress Legislative party leader and MLA Leh, Nawang Rigzin Jora, raised the issue of handing over of rifle to militants by BJP leader in Budgam rather than they snatching it.
“On one hand BJP is demanding aerial strikes on Pakistan after Pampore attacks and on the other side their leader has handed over a service rifle of his PSO to militants,” Jora said. “Which face of BJP should we accept,” he asked.
BJP defeated candidate from Budgam, Abdul Rehman Chopan, on Tuesday had informed police that militants snatched service rifle of his PSO. However, BJP legislators confronted Jora on the remark.
The NC, and Congress members supported Jora and asked the Government to inform the House on the incident and issue a statement.
