Delay in restoration of 132KV Poonch transmission line due to non-response to tenders: Dr Nirmal

SRINAGAR, June 28: Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh today said in LA that 132 KV Transmission Line from Draba to Poonch  via (Chandak) was damaged on September 3, 2014 due to flash floods and to ensure uninterrupted power supply, it has been decided to shift route alignment of transmission line to  secure place  in order to  avoid such happenings in future.
The Deputy CM was replying to a Calling Attention Notice tabled by Shah Mohammad Tantray regarding the situation that has arisen due to delay in restoration of 132KV Transmission Lines of Poonch and non-completion of Receiving Station at Sawjian of Poonch-Haveli Constituency.
The Deputy CM said that the new route has been proposed along the right hill side of river Suran. The DPR amounting to Rs.2542.00 lacs has been formulated and e-NIT was floated on 22.01.2016 vide No: 09 of 2015-16 but due to poor response, extended 8 times. Work has again been re-tendered on 12.05.2016 vide NIT No: 01 of 2016-17, the last date of submission of e-bid is 08.07.2016, the Minister informed.
The Deputy CM said that as far Sawjian  Receiving Station is concerned, the scheme for construction of 3.15 MVA Receiving Station has been framed at an estimated cost of Rs. 367.366 lacs. The scheme has been taken up under BADP for which an amount of Rs. 41.43 lacs stands released by the District Development Commissioner, Poonch, he added.
