PK slams separatists for opposing colonies for Pandits

JAMMU, June 26: Panun Kashmir (PK) has slammed the separatists for organising a seminar on “proposed separate colonies” for Kashmiri Pandits in Srinagar. The seminar was organised jointly by the separatists groups and was anti-India and anti-Kashmiri Pandit.
In a meeting held here today to discuss the outcome of the seminar, the convenor of the party Ravinder Jalali castigated the separatists for spreading lies and making hate speeches against Kashmiri Pandits. The party also criticised the Government for allowing this type of anti-national seminar in Srinagar.
The party president VK Bhat lashed out at separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani for his statement that KPs are welcome to return to their homeland but at their respective homes, and not in separate colonies. He said that these separatists are having double standard. On one hand they say that KPs are our brothers and are welcome and on other hand they set terms and conditions on our settlement. Who are they (separatists) to decide where and how to settle? said, the president.
The party slammed Mirwaiz Farooq for terming the return of Kashmir Pandits as a humanitarian issue, as they have no right to be champions of humanity when they are actually the champions’ of human rights violation. If they would have been sincere in their approach and attitude towards KPs, the Pandits would not have been hounded out for which they still don’t have any remorse.
The separatists term the setting up colonies for KPs as a conspiracy aimed to change demography of the Valley. It is ridiculous and speaks of their mindset. How a few lakhs of KPs could change the demography of Kashmir where more than 85 lakhs of Muslims are living, which constitute the more than 96% of the depopulation of Kashmir? It is only to mislead the common man of Kashmir and make it an emotional and communal issue.
