MENDHAR, June 23: The police seized an over loaded Tata Sumo when it was on way to Salwah from Mendhar town.
SHO Mendhar Insp Anzir Mir who was returning from Salwah area noticed an over loaded private Tata Sumo No. JK-12/5828 on the way. Total 16 passengers were on board and some of them were sitting on the roof top. Goods were also carried on the roof carrier. The police signaled the vehicle but the driver sped away. The police Gypsy chased Sumo and finally arrested its driver. The vehicle was also seized. The driver was identified as Fareed Ahmed, son of Noor Hussain, hailing from Banola village. A case under FIR No. 87/ 2016 was registered by police in this connection.
