MENDHAR, June 20: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Mendhar, Sher Singh today ordered an inquiry and initiated action against 40 village level workers (VLWs) who were found absent during an important meeting here today.
The meeting was held on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Poonch, for making corrections in the electoral rolls. During the meeting, the SDM found that out of total 124 VLWs of the RDD in Sub Division, 40 were absent. The SDM taking serious note of the matter, directed the AEROs, Mendhar , Balakote and Mankote blocks to hold an inquiry and submit the report within three days.
All the Tehsildars concerned have been designated as the Assistant Electoral Rolls Officers. The absentees were charge-sheeted and AEROs were asked to hold thorough probe and submit report for further action against them.
