SRINAGAR, June 14: Government today said out of 16,780 posts that it identified in different departments since March 2015, 14,224 selections are still pending.
In a written reply to a question of MLA Rajiv Jasrotia in Lower House, the Minister Incharge stated that out of 16,780 available posts including 1288 Gazetted, 4405 non-gazetted and 11087 Class-IV 14,224 selections are still pending in various departments. “Only 10 gazetted posts, 1053 non gazetted posts and 1493 Class- IV posts have been filled so far,” the Minister said.
In addition to above, the school department has identified 2227 vacancies of teaching and non-teaching posts under fast track basis, the Minister said, adding that 5428 selections are also pending in Police Department.
He added that SSB has conducted the written test/ type test of 1947 posts for which selection lists are to be issued shortly.
“Written test for 680 posts (Graduation Level) has been postponed and will be in the middle of July, 2016. Further written test for 300 posts of Patwari will possibly be conducted in the month of July-2016. Walk test of 425 posts (Forest Guards) has been conducted and written test will be conducted in the month of July, 2106,” said the Minister.
