KISHTWAR, June 13: National Student’s Union of India (NSUI), led by Mehran Anjum Mir, today held a protest demonstration against the State Technical Board authorities for alleged unfair marking of 5th semester students, majority of whom have been declared failed.
Mehran said that the students, who were topper in earlier exams, have been put under the category of failures. “Last year when the Board announced similar poor result, a fellow student Adnan couldn’t bear the news and committed suicide. Later it was found that Adnan had scored good marks,” he added.
The protesting NSUI activists and aggrieved students demanded overhaul of the Technical Board and fix accountability of those who are assigned to task of checking answer sheets. They also demanded that their answer sheets should be provided to them besides proper re-checking of the same.
